Candace L.L. Randall was raised in Jefferson County, where she learned the values of hard work, community, and perseverance.

She attended South Jefferson Central School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Business and Technology Management from Clarkson University in 2009. After graduation, Candace began her career at Lockheed Martin before deciding to pursue her passion for law. She moved to Houston, Texas, to attend Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2012. While in law school, she served as Lead Articles Editor for the Law Review, further honing her legal expertise and analytical skills. That same year, she sat for the New York State Bar Exam and was admitted to practice in February 2013.

Since becoming an attorney, Candace has dedicated her career to serving the people of Lewis County and surrounding areas. She has trial experience in Supreme Court and handles hundreds of cases each year across various areas of the law. Her legal career has always been rooted in a deep sense of duty to her clients and her community. In 2020, she was elected as the Town Judge for Harrisburg, Montague, and Pinckney, where she has consistently demonstrated a fair, balanced, and principled approach to the law. Recently re-elected for another term, she continues to serve with integrity and dedication.

Beyond the courtroom, Candace is an active member of her community. She resides in Copenhagen with her husband and children and understands firsthand the importance of family and community involvement. She has volunteered as a coach for her younger daughter’s soccer team and has served for nearly nine years as a board member of the Mountainview Prevention Services, an organization focused on supporting public health and well-being. She recently joined its Board of Directors, furthering her commitment to making a positive impact beyond the legal field. Additionally, she has been an adjunct instructor at Jefferson Community College and a member of the New York State Bar Association since 2013.

Candace’s journey—from a small-town upbringing in Jefferson County to a respected judge with a wealth of legal experience—has shaped her dedication to justice and public service. Now, she seeks to bring that same commitment to the New York State Supreme Court, ensuring that the legal system remains fair, impartial, and accessible to all.
